My Story

I'm running the London Marathon 2027 to raise money for Spinal Research and help create a future free from paralysis.

This is an important charity to me. My dad had neck surgery when I was a child and lived in a metal halo for a little while. He recovered, which is great but it was because of the treatment he received. Further research would help improve diagnosis times and treatment options.

Every year, thousands of people experience a spinal cord injury, and an estimated 15.4 million people worldwide are living with its life-changing effects. For many, paralysis brings ongoing challenges, from loss of independence to lifelong healthcare needs. 

Spinal Research is the UK's leading medical charity dedicated to repairing and restoring the spinal cord. Through pioneering research, they are driving progress towards treatments that could transform lives and restore function for people living with paralysis.

Unlike many medical research charities, Spinal Research receives no government funding. Every breakthrough is made possible by supporters, fundraisers and donors.
