Alexander Francis Knowles
My Story
I'm running the London Marathon in memory of my grandad, Francis Fenton.
Francis lived with Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) for 20 years, but he never stopped thinking about how he could help others. Throughout his journey, he supported blood cancer charities, fundraised, and took part in medical trials that helped improve treatment and understanding for future patients.
Sadly, we lost him in December 2025.
When I was given the opportunity to run for Blood Cancer UK, it felt like the perfect way to honour his memory and continue a small part of the work that meant so much to him.
The fundraising target is £2,000, but I'd love for us to reach £5,000. My grandad never did things by halves, and that extra goal reflects the way he always went a little further to help other people.
Thank you for supporting me, remembering Francis, and helping Blood Cancer UK continue its incredible work.
